-Night of Taboo + Museum Trip! -

RAHS! I only managed to find time to blog about yesterday now..so i'll combine the 2 days' activities into one post!! Today and yesterday!! Whoots! Shall start it chronologically~!

Yesterday, after a day of being cooped up in the oppressive 3rd floor once again, we stepped out and took in a deep breath...and there it was..right before our eyes! A SUPER CLEAR RAINBOW!! It literally took my breath away. So out came our mobile phones and the rather futile attempt to capture the breathtaking sight. But of course, the photos can't do the rainbow justice. OH MY GOODNESS. It's soo darn prettyyy!!! YIKES!! I hate my lousy camera phone -.- A seriously lousy 2Megapix. ROARS!!!

So we left the school before the sun set because we had a dinner date and an ice-cream date. Invited a whole lot of people but only the 6 of us went in the end. Nevertheless, we had lots of fun! It was a night of Taboo!!! IT'S AN AWESOME GAME! ROFL!!!
The german girls~~
(who's trying to spell G-E-R but ended up spelling R-E-G though i explicity asked them to change direction...hahaha!!!)

And the Japanese Girls ~~~
(and my Just Got Dumped... which is sooo spoon-licking good) MUahahahaha! If getting dumped gets me free ice-cream..It's kind of worth it eh?! ROFL!!

It takes a whole lot of chemistry to play this game of Taboo, i tell you. One classic example is this:
Amy: I am a....???!!
......
Before you read any further, try guessing what the word might be......

-_-"'

Yt: MUSHROOM!!!

DO NOT BE SHOCKED!! Because "mushroom" is the correct answer!! It left the rest of us scratching our heads in curious wonder. That must have been the shortest hint and most irrelavant hint EVER!!

The whole icecream shop was filled with our shouting and laughter. Awesome! We are sooo going there again!!! WITH MORE PEOPLE!!! And more money in our pockets! We still have quite a few more places we want to cover!! YOSH!

We wanted to go for supper but i was bursting from all the food and the laughing left me grabbing my stomach in pain. HAHAHAHA!! So we walked around aimlessly and chatting and laughing at Charms' horrendous pronounciation of Chinese Characters. Dan and Charms are in a league of their own. SERIOUSLY. She can't even say Chocolate in Mandarin! 巧克力 was read as 敲哭力。 Faints. 大巨蛋 as 大局蛋. Lix, kuaile and i were soo exasperated. HAHAHAHA!

Here's us!! Feeling happy and contented! We would have played on longer if we could! :D

As for today, Twinnie and I went to the National Museum!!! For our report that we had to write. Was supposed to be a group outing but Joe and Angie decided not to join us... -_- HAHAHA we aren't complaining though! Because Twinnie and I can cope very well on our own as well!! Wheee~~~

We were to evaluate the musuem...and we discovered that the museum had alot of space left unused...and then we realised what it was used for!!! Tada~~!!!!

We were stuck in the musuem because of the heavy rain!!!!!!! RAHS!!! But of course, we always find ways to amuse ourselves. Muahahahah!!

Proof that we were really doing our research for our paper...Waiting for the interviewees to turn up..Hurhur!

We were there to learn!! Seriously!! Just check out our intense concentration examining the artifacts!!!

The museum is SERIOUSLY DARK. Many times we grabbed on to each other in shock because of the sound and lighting effects. It's rather freaky actually!! Hahahaha! Just look at the picture we took without flash!!

This green thing that Twinnie is holding is called our "companion". Each of us have one and it guides us round the History Museum. So when the guide asked us to refer to our companion for more details, Twinnie thought the companion referred to me!! HAHAHA!!!!! And she actually looked at me and asked me questions!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! Oh my goodness!!! We were laughing over this issue for quite some time. I guess Twinnie does think rather highly of me. She actually thinks i can answer her questions on the history of Singapore! ROFL!! I should be honoured!! Twinnie is just wayyy too cute for words.
Oh and we got caught on the museum's camera!!! And there was a loud voice through the PA system that stopped us in our tracks-"That 2 girls! Please stop where you are and turn around!! You are acting suspiciously!"

And so we turned and smiled for the camera! Wheehee!! Okok! I better clarify! I was just kidding about the voice over the PA system. But we were really caught on the camera! HAHAHA but it was just one of the attractions. We walk under this beam and the camera will project our image on the walls. HAHAHAHA! It's just that Twinnie said we looked like we were convicts caught on camera...hence, the little joke. HAHAHAH!

After the museum trip, i went to have a hair cut!! I told the hairdresser i wanted a completely new look. And a new look i got. Well done. BUT it looks soo...ermm...errrr...SIGH.

- Family Outing! -

The weekend has been TERRIFIC!! After such a long and strenous week, this weekend has been a break away from books and routines.

While yesterday i met up with my favourite girls and had the arguably most enjoyable day of 2009 to date, today my family decided to have a family outing after church service!!! HAHAHA!! It was totally spontaneous and we all jumped at my dad's suggestion. We all had lots of work to do but...shelve it! Work's neverending! Let's just all have fun! Moreover, i seemed to have lesser and lesser time interacting with my family because of work.

So the destination was Singapore Flyer!! Oh MANN!! It's so expensive!! After some grumbling on my dad's part, we happily behaved like tourists and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! Hahaha afterall it was my dad's suggestion! My mum was a bit hesitant about our outing because of the rain and rumbling of the thunder could be heard. But Praise the Lord! The sky cleared just when we boarded the capsule :)

HAHAHAH! We had ALOT of self-shots because we were too embarrassed to ask the family in the same capsule as us to help us take. They thought we were mad!! Taking pictures like nobody's business! It's practically S$1/min!! Of course we had to capture whatever we could! HAHAHA...ok i said tt. My parents were purely admiring the view until i asked them to be my models.

Wheee~~ Our extremely happy smiles!! My parents are super sporting! They always allow themselves to be the subject of their daughters' photography. We tease them endlessly and whatnot. HAHAHAH!!

Our tickets!!! SO BEAUTIFUL RIGHT!!

HAHAHAH this shot my sis took is soo funny. We were laughing over this for quite some time!

The design of the future IR...apparently this can only be seen from the Singapore Flyer....So when the announcement came on, everyone without a camera whipped out their mobile phones and started snapping away! HAHAHAH!!
Caught my sis in the act of emo-ing and yet smiling to herself. I wonder what she was thinking...Her future perhaps?! Or just sad the ride was coming to an end...??

HEH!! My mum and I! She complained about her hair and how ugly she looked in this photo...so now you all should know where i get my fussiness about how i look in photos from! ROFL! Even my sis is terribly fussy too!

ROFL!!! Imagine we were sharing the capsule with another family or 2!? HAHAHAH when i asked my parents to squat at the corner, they promptly did!! Actually they always give in to my weird pose requests especially when we are overseas! I remember a particular photo overseas...HAHAHA they actually did a very weird pose for the camera...ROFL!! Actually there were alot of others too!! Muahahah!!!

And my parents actually bought those photos that the people took for us.. 2 for S$30!! It's like soo expensive but they still bought it anyway to remember our outing. HAHAHA!! We were seriously acting like tourists! My dad was trying to act like he was a Thai and attracted some rather curious stares from people around us. ROFL!
Some rainforest walk that we took after the ride!

After which, we went for tea break, shopping (!!!), and dinner!! HAHAHAH! We spent the whole day just lazing around spending time with each other! The time passed by soo fast!!! The laughter!!! HAHAHAH!
Wheee!! I love my family!! My dad always makes an effort to strike a conversation with me everytime i return home, though sometimes his questions can get really weird...HAHA and my mum does the silliest things to annoy me on purpose. I would think that's her recent favourite activity. WHEEE I love family outings!! There's another one coming up soon!!

- Hand Signs!! -

WHEEE~~~ Today started real early but it was terribly enjoyable!!! I had to force myself to crawl out of bed so that i could reach on time. Hahaha! Learning Sign Language/Hand signs was on this Saturday's agenda!!

For fear of being late, the 3 of us reached early! But the most extreme was Twinnie who has developed a fear of being late when she's meeting us that she turned up at 715am! Which was HALF AN HOUR early!!! ROFL!!

These were the 6 people who woke up bright and early for this full day workshop! To tell you the truth, I wasn't exactly keen on learning Hand Signs. The ONLY reason i joined was because yy said we could use this opportunity to spend time together and i totally missed hanging out with them. This was the main reason why the rest of us all signed up as well...hahaha...so imagine our shock and total dismay upon the realisation that we were not in the same group!!!! The grumbling from all of us! Haha I mean...the whole purpose of this early outing is totally defeated, isn't it?! We could have just headed to East Coast Park or something to play together rather than travel to this 'ulu-ated' part of Singapore to play orientation games and learn something that we didn't even want to learn right from the start!

But of course, as you can see from the bright smiles below, we all had tremendous amount of fun despite being seperated in to different groups! (and despite our initial grumbles, whines and what not) Thank God we all had a partner with us though! So we weren't totally alone!

So this was the group i spent so many hours with today laughing, screaming, shrieking, playing, cheering and bonding! HAHAHA!! I realise we look so mild in photos! We look like we're so quiet, gentle and whatever dull adjectives you can think of. But we were really rowdy throughout the whole day!! We laughed till our stomachs ached..we talked like nobody's business..we stubbornly refused to participate in the cohort's games..AND OUR CHEER!!! The best of the best!! SUPER SOLID K! Hahahah!

OOoohh i have another Korean friend now! We call him Kim for short! I was showing off my proficiency in Korean to him and you know what he said to me!? HAHAHAH he said "I totally didn't expect your accent and intonation" ROFL! He said i was too animated for the language because they speak in a flat tone -.- HAHAHAHA!!!! My Annaehasaeyo (however you spell it...) shocked him like anything!! And my long, long sentence that yt taught me which means "Sorry but i don't under Korean" amused him soooo much!! And the others who didn't understand what i was saying were obviously blindly impressed by my fluency. HOHO! ESP MY "OPPA!!! KAJIMA!!!" WAHAHAHAHAHA!!! ^-^

Abel, pronounced Able... (Yea that is another guy's name in the group...hahaha...which caused ZhongPing to start singing "He's able...He's able...") wanted to join in our K-frenzy and shouted "Sarang Heyo!" HAHA hilarious i tell you!
HAHAHA the game stations were the BEST! I never liked these sort of Orientation-like games and i absolutely hate the whole idea of cheering at every station and acting all Ra-Ra but somehow i just threw all these concerns aside and joined in all the fun today!! HAHAHA actually i'm rather embarrassed to say that ML and i were the noisest girls in our group other than the CO-GL who is ALWAYS high...(on her own!) But she's a real dear! She makes me and everyone else in the group extremely high!

Heehee..i was the only non-N.T.U student in Johnie Ray! They treated me like someone from outer space! Not in a bad way though! They were really interested in where i came from and all...so they were all asking me all sorts of questions...and their readiness to forgive my lack of sense of direction...they were really nice! They all made me feel very comfortable though i was often referred in the "N.U.S girl" in jest. Even when we parted, Alvin said "See you all around in school...except for the N.U.S one, see you online!" HAHAHAHA!! I'm so easily identified by my school!! Heh!!
OOoh the reason for our similar poses is because we hand-signed our whole cheer! Which we laughed so much everytime we cheered! Everyone in the workshop identified us as the Super Solid people. Actually our group name was Johnnie Ray!

S-U-P-E-R
S-O-L-I-D
(this is the hand signs for the alphabets! ^-^)
T-N-I-A-S
(Which is actually Saint spelled backwards..hahah we did it the wrong way...)

Thanks darlingg yy for the the car rides and breakfast!! I enjoyed today alot!! So did the rest of them! Don't worry yea!! HUGSSS!!

WHEEE!!! The adrenaline rush!! HAHAHA Twinnie said we actually spent more than 12hours straight together after so long!! WHootss!! I love my darling girls!

Today has been spectacular! Thank you God for casting away all my apprehensiveness and be able to enjoy the day thoroughly despite having so little sleep for the whole week! I seemed to have so much energy today despite the total lack of rest!! Wheee!!! Hahaha but i'm tired now. Tired but definitely Happy!

I just want to say, i didn't mind learning Hand Signs after all :) I had so much fun learning it that we even did Song-Signing!! Ehhh but i seemed to have forgotten some words that i learnt already... AHHHH!! Learnt too many words!!!

Yikes...and this is one of the few times i actually regret being Facebook-less. ROARS!! HAhahaha!

- \(^-^)/ -

:)

Danke for the beautiful rose!! I love you too~ HUGS!

The rose that would make everyone's day ^-^

------------------------------------

Amidst the busy schedules and meeting deadlines, love is still in the air!! HAHAHA and i feel the love from everyone around me! Okayy maybe i'm imagining it...maybe no one loves me... but still, i love the people around me! Hahaha so maybe the love radiates from me?! Hahaha nah...i feel the love and concern from people around me and i'm so thankful and blessed for each and everyone of you!

Just yesterday i received Joe's public declaration of love! HAHAHA! So i was telling him "Hey..i know you love me but there's no need for this public declaration!" And his reply was, "Sssh..Not so loud! But you know i love you long long!" [His exact words] Muahahahaha! I'm still very much amused whenever i recall the conversation we had yesterday. He's the big brother that i never had. We share a very special (and even peculiar) friendship/bond due to prior concensus. Haha i think i owe him a big Thank You for putting up with my teasing and bullying and disappearing acts all these years.

I recall the time when i first introduced Joe to Twinnie, Twinnie was pretty shocked with Joe's exclamation at that point of time and thought i was hiding stuff from her. Hahaha! We fight alot, poke fun at each other alot but ultimately, he's a great friend to have. Psst... this Mr. Nice Guy is still up for grabs! Hahaha! He probably will never read this but oh wells.. Hahaha, i did my part! ^-^ (in promoting him! ROFL!)

Okay, the reason i'm devoting so much time thanking him is because i...err...forgot his birthday this year... =( I only realised it in shock when i was sitting next to him in lecture the day AFTER his birthday >.<

Another person i would really wish to tell her i still love her is Michilli!!!! ARGH!!! I feel so guilty! My primary school friend who always remembers me despite how few times we actually meet! Sorry Mich!! We'll find a time to meet up as soon as i finish this ridiculous pile of assignments!! We knew each other since Primary 3, methinks?! Wow, that's like...12 years?!?! To many more to come!! Hahaha i chanced upon her in January and what she said to me was "You always look so happy and bubbly!" HAHAHA for some strange reason, people like to use the word 'bubbly' on me. Even in report books -_-"' Maybe i'm as round as a bubble?! Or i am so 'fragile' i burst so easily?! HAHAH!

Another darling in my life is obviously Twinnie! All the laughter and tears and never-ending conversations! She has seen me through ups and downs and is always there for me to hug (though she isn't exactly a very huggable person)! HAHAHA friends who never had classes with the both of us don't believe we don't talk to each other during lecture... but it's true!! We know when NOT to talk. HAHAHA! But once they announce it's break time....We'll just automatically turn to each other. Hahaha I love you twinnie!

Of course, i won't forget any of you of reading this! I can't list all of you down simply because that will take forever but the fact that you here reading this thus far...I just want to tell you I LOVE YOU ALL!!! Thank you all for being a part of my life!! :) :) :)

WAHAHAHAH! Okie darlingss! Have a blessed and happy Valentine's Day! Lastly,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GERI!!!!
LOVE YOU LOADS!!!!

Ending off with these beautiful lyrics from "When Love is Found"...

When love is tried as loved ones change,
Hold still to hope though all seems strange,
Till ease returns, and love grows wise
Through listening ears and opened eyes.

When our commitments are tested in the fires of life, no matter what difficulties we face, may God grant us a greater experience of His enduring love and the grace to demonstrate it each day!

WHEEE~~~!!!!! God loves me!!! ^-^

-ROARS!!-

ROARS!!! I'm am SOO annoyed. I was going to blog about how happy i was this weekend when the IVLE announcement popped up on my screen to give me a very unpleasant piece of news -_- I will be having a Mid-Term test on my birthday -_-"' and my birthday this year falls on a Saturday! I was initially elated when i realised it falls on a Saturday BUT...!! ROARS!!!! I already do not like her much and this piece of news cements my "love" for this module. *grumbles*

ROARS!!!!!

Poof.

Anyway, thanks to all for your love and concern! I've already recovered a while ago and have been happily consuming all my favourite foods again. But the ice-cream i ate after i recovered is totally...disgusting =( It left such a bad aftertaste in my mouth that i had to pop sweets! AHhhh!!! Anyone game for some good and nice icecream?!?!?!?!

So yet another week has whizzed by. It scares me to think i only have a few weeks left as an official University student. That aside, Charms and I were adamant that we should leave our calculators alone this semester and thought it will be a nicer end to our University life without Mathematics. So we chose modules that required us to write rather than calculate. No wonder they say "Be careful what you wish for" because now, i kind of miss prodding my calculator =(

The literary juices have turned stale from all the semesters of storage and as hard as i tried to wring and squeeze for a single drop of literary juice...that portion of the brain seems to have solidified. Yep...so i seem to have difficulties doing the loads of essays that i have to hand in on a weekly basis for different modules. A term i refer to as Writer's Block. Hahaha it is rather frustrating on my part though, because alot of time is spent in the attempt to write an essay but nothing is accomplished. Yep! I sure hope this period is over because there are still tons of essays and reports to be written!!! But i do feel apologetic to someone who had to catch me on the night when i was in the doldrums..

Anyhow, the essay is submitted and i had a tired but fun, enriching and enjoyable weekend!! It was a time of bonding, laughing, eating, preparing and well, playing a good host (even though the party was not even at my own place -_-) It has been such a long time since i have done this hosting business. Hahaha..and people were asking me if i would have a party at my own place. Thank you for your suggestion but no, i will not be having a party this year ^^, I'm totally shagged from all the hosting activities today. And the preparation and planning is totally an energy-absorber!!

Hahahaha but i had absolute fun! ^-^

Alright, to all who are facing difficulties and problems in life/school work, tomorrow will be a better day. Be brave and be happy for you have friends who are actually angels sent down from heaven :) Hahaha and i'm one of them! ROFL!

Take care people!
