-Week's Summary-
This week seemed exceptionally short, probably because of the the fact that I only went to work for 3 days. But that 3 days seemed like forever then. ROFL. But I am thankful for the people God placed around me, whether physically next to me or not, and thank God for technology!
Went out with Twinnie after work on Thursday. We FINALLY met up after 3 months!! Imagine how long this period is as we hung out on a weekly basis for the past 5 years?! Especially more so during the period of unemployment. Hahah..almost a daily basis. We initially planned to shop in town but very predictably, we ended up plopping ourselves on a chair and didn't move for 3 hours. We talked and laughed, and talked and laughed. How time flew by. Yes, sounds cliche but it's sooo true. We really cherish the time we spent together with each other because God allowed us to know each other despite our language barrier the very first time we met. HAHAHA. He placed us with each other to comfort, listen, encourage and laugh with each other as we experienced similar things in life, therefore being able to understand and empathise with each other. HAHAH we even have similar temperaments like laughing at things others don't laugh at, or throwing tantrums at ourselves..etc etc etc. A lot of hilarious incidents with each other. I always tell Twinnie what would i do without her!! She understands me so well and is able to provide me with advice when I need it.
Thanks Twinnie for your very touching message on your blog! I love you so much too! Huggsss!
Friday..I didn't have much energy for anything. I didn't even turn on the computer..I didn't do anything. I just had an early night:)

Today, I had a family lunch and had a very filling meal with the relatives. After which, I had some shopping time with my cousin before church. Oh mann! She bought a Polaroid!! TeeHee and I get to keep this pic! But this silly girl didn't allow me to take another one to perfect the shot -_-"'
Wheee I'm happy. Thank you God for the many blessings in life. I must learn to keep them in mind :)

The plushie that I yearn to have..guess which one?! HAHAHA I'm so addicted to the music that plays in the ad for this plushie ROFL *singss*
Ending off~~ Hope you had a great CNY and Vday! :)

CNY, as usual, started off with visitations and the tackling of the ever-predictable questions. The younger generation sit, politely giving greetings and smiles to the relatives and trying to keep themselves entertained so that the hosts will not be feel bad. Attempts to include the dialect-deficient-knowledge kids include translating conversations and requests for the yearly summary of achievements.
Parents will be generously providing information about the achievements and updates of their kids and of others. Others, will be busy fishing for more gossip-worthy goodies.
Eligible ang-pow distributers frantically try to recall whose child they have or have not given those red packets. A kid comes along and is asked "Have I given you?" and there are 3 different types of answers noted...
1) "Yes, you have! Thanks!"
2) "Err..I can't remember either" and subsequently will receive an/another ang-pow by the elder saying, "For good luck and study hard!"
3) "Nope, you haven't!"
There are kids in the third category, where I, the almost omnipresent observer, noticed do deliberately go back to the confused elders to collect another round of red packets.
All in all, CNY to me is a period where I meet some relatives once a year..a period where I can officially buy bags of clothings..a period where there's abundance of food (oh boy, the calories!) and well, red packets. Maybe I am growing old..but the excitement of receiving red packets have somewhat died down. The implications and questions that come with the collections of red packets might be a wee bit too much to handle sometimes..And as for the clothings..I buy clothes whether or not it's CNY..maybe I just buy more during CNY..yes, and yet you still see me in the same clothes day in, day out. ROFL.

-The Week-
Another week has past. This week, like all others, had its own shares of ups and downs. These experiences teach me to learn from my mistakes and grow both spiritually and emotionally:) Haha maybe even physically...rofl..
This week had a few highlights...
1) Oranges galore
Gil asked to meet for a meal because he had nothing to do..and I was absolutely so bored..Yes I was busy, but I was still bored. So phonecalls from Gil were timely distractions as it prevented my forehead from touching the desk..zzz..Went to meet him with the colleagues as we had to get Mandarin oranges for the department. He carried 6 boxes of oranges all on his own and guess what, it started raining! ROFL! I carried only one :P
2) Hachiko
Rushed to meet MT after work to catch Hachiko. Nearly choked on dinner given the limited time we had and still we missed the front part of the show :( Pity we couldn't talk and joke slowly over dinner though. Show was really good actually. Highly recommended! But please bring lots of tissue and don't be like someone *ahem* who dried tears on the sleeve of the jacket and vehemently denied having shed tears. Even went to the extent of insisting that the air-con was too strong.
3) The whole saga
A meeting that was supposed to end at 430pm ended up dragging so long that I returned to the building realizing that the gate was open only big enough for me to squeeze in. Totally deflated and zapped all energy I had in that day. I have no intention of repeating the incident to anyone. But it was great that no one was in the office when I returned, I guess.
4) Our MagnumToast to MrSunShineBoy.
MrSunShineBoy is leaving us, most unfortunately. As his name suggests, he is our office's SunShineBoy. His smile every morning greets everyone of us and cheerily chirrups "Morning [insert name]!"
First contact with him was when I found chocolates from him left on my table. "A welcome treat", he said. Hahaha and that was the start of our friendship.
And at the end of his stay here, he sent out a very touching letter to us which really brought a smile to the readers, just as he hoped.
Farewell MrSunShine!
5) Our reunion lunch.
Bunch, to be exact, 11 of us, took the liberty of having a (rather long) CNY lunch since half the office is on leave anyway. Manager was on half-day leave and we informed her that we would be leaving early for our lunch. She, being the ever motherly figure, did not object and even asked about the details of our lunch. Really blessed to have her as our manager. We affectionately call her our "Mother Hen" :)
Food was so-so..didn't have time to walk around after lunch because we had to rush back to work. Predictably, no one was in the mood to do any work but work still had to be done and cleared as emails were flying in like leaves falling off trees in a thunderstorm -.- Just a trip to the washroom, I came back and saw 6 new emails -_-"'
6) Covergirl ;)
If you recall, I previously mentioned a photo shoot that I had to go for. Well the newsletter is out..we fondly call it our DeeVee. On the cover, there you go! The pictures that I posed for! ROFL! I don't normally read the articles in DeeVee and because the photo shoot was quite some time ago, I kind of forgot about it until I saw a familiar face...hahaha..I took like soooo many shots but they chose only 2!!! No complaints though! The photo shoot was fun and the pictures turned out nice:) Responses have been good so far HAHAHA :P
Nette was trying to take unofficial pictures of me using the official camera so i was trying hard to dodge. AND THEN...Sy and Mark were teasing me saying that the DeeVee cover girl shouldn't be camera shy -_-"' Many people I knew saw the article that day and had positive feedback about it. Many pats on the back that day too. Made me pretty shy about it. ROFL.
Well...here's the end of the summary of my week. I must have been writing too much reports. My literary skills have very much left me. ROARS! I need them back!!

-Retreat?!-
Hahahaha before I head out I decided to post shots of yesterday...of what seemed like a little holiday retreat..even though it was for work, it was pretty pleasurable :)
This is actually a reflection shot in case you can't tell..but the colours turned out really nice?!
The bunch of us who sat outside..We had chips and drinks and sweets and chocolates while watching the show...HAHAHAHA!
We, the Tai-Tais enjoying ourselves ^-^
And we are happy!! Hahaha! Check out our shadows! The sun was directly overhead!
Our job allows us to meet pilots...
And we have an important job of holding the plane wings! ROFL. Hahaha actually we were hiding under the shade of the wings while waiting for someone to join us..I can't remember who actually hahaha..If you can actually see, the people at the back are actually laughing at us. ROFL.
Oh yess, there are female pilots too! But she kind of fades into the background?! HAHAHA.
Boy, was this heavy!! And this was one of the smaller ones already!

Despite seeing it a number of times, like what Boonie said, we seem to be seeing new stuff every time. HAHAHA the place is so big it's hard to have covered everything.
It was breezy so the heat was bearable...
And it was cloudy as well...
OH YEA. The sounds were also deafening!
This was the view our chalet got. I was sitting there staring out at the sea when I was messaging MT that I felt like I was at a holiday..hahaha..Pretty relaxing...
See what I mean? I get to sit under the umbrella that faces the sea..Hahaha, or I could sit in the air-conditioned chalet that has glass from floor to ceiling so that I could still admire the show and scenery in the comfort of the air-con. But because I didn't quite like the crowd inside, I sat outside with some of the rest under the umbrella. It was still shady and breezy. It was really like I was at a beach resort! ROFL!

We get royal treatment as well...the perks...hiakhiak...

And see the food we are served?! I was trying to act Tai-Tai but i ended up looking awkward..heehee..
This darlingg is so at ease with these kind of poshness hahah..because she has been on this job for quite some time already..
Our first class cabin!
This bunch of them are really fun to be with..pity they aren't from my branch!
Inside our chalet..

At the taxi queue..I've been taking cabs like nobody's business these days...
After which I went home to get a quick shower and headed out with the other Uni Cliquey...and they were laughing at my uneven tan. Here's a peek at how dark i got..gross right? Boohoo :( My stupid watch mark. I was lathering myself with sunblock periodically and yet I still got so burnt. And my t-shirt mark as well!? Grrr..and Novin was sitting next to me during dinner and suddenly burst out laughing "Wow you really have many different colour skin tones" -.-
Anyway, having nothing to do after dinner and not willing to go home yet, we went to catch a movie. Because it was Friday night..and we absolutely wanted to watch something, we caught "Tooth Fairy" much to GH's disgust. He was sms-ing throughout the whole show. HAHAHA. Oh! We went to the arcade as well! HAHAHA went to play the Basketball machine and I introduced to them the game that Zx, Ml, Wen and I have been recently playing every time we meet up. ROFL. At first the guys were a bit hesitant about playing it, but once they started playing, they were shouting louder than the girls. HAHAHAH! I was rather amused actually. Because I played that game so many times, I was not that amused by the comic effects of the game when the wrong target was hit. ROFL. But the guys were shouting at the girls for wrongly hitting the target though I suspected it was them who hit the wrong target. HAHAHA. In any case, that game is a great game when you need to vent your frustration because you get to throw things, and you have to throw them hard. I still recall the first time I played it, I had muscle aches the next day. HAHAHAHA!

And Eugene is pooped from all the work we have done and just plops himself on the armchair..
And see the food we are served?! I was trying to act Tai-Tai but i ended up looking awkward..heehee..

- Whee!! -
Back from Ai.rS.Ho*ww. It's really exciting! Hahaha! I feel like a small kid there staring in awe at everything..Sadly, the people with me weren't very excited about it. They were complaining about the heat and dashing into the shelter whenever they could. Yes, the heat was terrible but still bearable. Hahaha! I need sunblock!! If not i'll have the sunglasses mark on my face..like goggles! HAHAHA! I wanted to try the simulator rides and all but they didn't want and it's no fun going on my own. Sulks.
It actually felt like an excursion when we were preparing to leave. I was getting all excited but the rest were a bit..not as high as me. ROFL. I was squealing at the scenery en route but the Aunties were like "Graceyyyy..we're not going there to play." [insert exasperated tones] Then i was trying hard to hype them up and give them a prep talk by telling them to treat it like a holiday so that they will enjoy it but noooo it didn't work. They just laughed at me and said i was a young and silly girl bursting with energy -.- Even the "younger ones" were whining and wanted to leave. And I thought i was whiney enough!! But then again, I AM the youngest there. ROFL. Anywayyyy..some girls were just busy looking pretty. Hahaha..they were looking so pretty and high-class that I totally paled in comparision. Well, I dressed for the occasion! I was in formal wear but I wore pants and flats. Those girls were tottering around in heels and dresses. Well...i prefer to jump about and...imagine the strong wind there! I don't want a Marilyn Monroe scene to happen! Hahaha..but then again, they managed to look pretty all day. *shrugs* I didn't even put on ANY makeup because I didn't want my makeup to melt :P
I'm going there again tomorrow and I'm going to make sure I will try most of , if not all, the rides. Why waste my expensive pass that I got for free?! Heehee..I got a 4day pass for invited guests. So the crowd is very unlike the days that are open to public ;)
The downside other than the heat?? The TIMING. I have to reach there by 8am tomorrow :(

-happy birthday joe-
MUAHAHAHAHAHAH! I might be putting my life at risk by posting this but this is how 'cute' my bro can get!! I bet he is wondering where I got this photo from ;) But then again, he comes in here once in a blue, blue moon so i reckon i'm pretty safe. TEEHEE~ I was contemplating between posting this in Small size or the Medium size but finally decided that I had to do his 'cuteness' some justice..so...ROFL. (#EDIT: I changed it back to Small because the Medium was really huge!! HAHAHA)
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOE~~
Thanks for being such a dear brother! So irritating and yet annoyingly caring. ROFL!
Thanks for always offering to stand up for me!
Very much appreciated~!
- 1st Feb -
A new month. Wow. Time flies.
I revisited the place today and Luigi told me about having met someone we both knew. Someone who undeniably was the topic of conversation for quite some time the past year..haha..a terribly odd feeling struck me. A feeling somewhat like despondency? Somewhat like..hopelessness? And helplessness?? Somewhat like..oh-shit-this-is-happening-again kind of feeling. ROFL. It's kind of complicated. Haha whenever this person comes up in our conversation, it's like a bittersweet topic. Oh wait, has it ever been sweet?!
Anyway, after speaking to Luigi and voicing the problems me and the above mentioned big-yellow-headed THING faced, I realized, what is the point of it all. Hahah like what was the lesson learnt? Sometimes I wonder what is the point of even voicing my opinions and thoughts to certain people who on the receiving end, do not even process what I have said. As in they just brush it off?? Like what Luigi said, it's a matter of priorities. Apparently we all have different priorities.
Different people have different priorities and different people are different priorities in our lives.
Well, point taken.
Since we aren't on the same page, and doesn't seem like we'll ever be, 从此,你走你的阳光道,我走我的独木桥。As simple as that.
Which brings me to the topic of Luig's blogpost on Friends. Hahaha, in that mentioned scenario, I was trying to put myself in that position and I wondered who I will call...I...let's just say, I hope the rest of you know who to call! Hahaha! The word Friend itself has another whole topic that I could talk about because I spent one whole night complaining to ML about the word 'friend'. ROFL. Ultimately, she came up with a conclusion that was similar to Luigi's. But we shall leave this topic on Friend as it is for now.
HUMBUG. I must be getting influenced by Gil -_-"' and ML feels so too, because I'm starting to voice my unhappiness and displeasure more and more. And he actually encourages me to voice my unhappiness?! Sheesh. That's a very bad habit. Because Number 1, I'm NOT unhappy. I'm just temporarily displeased, which I will get over...in time to come, that is. ROFL. Number 2, to those whom I have actually mentioned the incident to, they do feel my anger is justified..okay maybe all but Luigi, who has been rather critical in this issue.
Oh wells.
Zip Zip! Enough rambling and grumbling~~toodly doo~~!
