- 楽しかった -

Zzz..I'm so sleepy *-* Hahaha...Woke up bright and early to run some errands ^^;

It's the last day of July!

Yesterday turned out to be surprisingly fun and enjoyable. Hahaha maybe going without expectations was the key. Anyway, the whole department only worked for half a day yesterday because we had some bonding session after that. Yeaps! We were split in to different groups because the whole objective of the game was to allow us to bond with people in different work-teams. When I first saw the names in my group, I was like.. -__-"'. Out of 8 names, I only recognised my own and another member's, whom I am not particularly close to.

Anyhow, by some stroke of luck, a group member could not make it and Jyn was swapped to my group, much to my excitement. Hahaha I love hanging out with her. She's ALWAYS smiley and animated. So yayy! Subsequently, I don't know what happened but Geok was also swapped to my group! And as it turned out, my group was pretty fun to be with. Though Geok and Jyn were from different teams at work, I knew them and could get along with them. They made the whole day really fun! HAHAHA. The other group members were also pretty easy-going and fun.

My group came in second. Oh, we played the Food Hunt game, very much like 食字路口, only that we played it in English. At the pit-stop, we had to clear a few rounds before getting our hint to where the end point is. Mmm..played like..err..whatisitsname..finding the words in a puzzle that game..spelling the group name using your butt..posing for photos..Don't forget the lyrics..blah blah..all in all it was fun. Did I mention? We did all these in Orchard Road. HAHAHA. So if you saw 70+ people in the same black shirt zipping around in groups of 8s along Orchard Road doing stupid stuff, well, that's my whole department. Haha.

Well..in my camera-less world, I do not have any photos to show. We could bring our cameras yesterday but because we had to report at office to work in the morning, we had to declare our cameras etc beforehand and yours truly was too lazy to go through all the trouble. Afterall, I'm pretty used to a camera-less world now. So if I lose my memory, there goes everything.

Anyway, at the end of the game, we had Swensons' Ice-cream buffet. Oh mann. Bliss. HAHAAH Pity I no longer have someone to remind me to eat less icecream. HAHAHA. I went absolutely nuts at the sight of the endless ice-cream with sooo many different flavours. OH MY GOSH. And the CHOCOLATES. I was going nuts. ROFL.

So basically, I put on more calories then i lost, after all the running I did. ROFL.

- Inception -

Yesterday was a fun day! I can't believe it's Monday again tomorrow though.

Went to watch Inception with my family at night and had a really..strange..encounter. Went in to the cinema and saw only 3 empty seats instead of 4. I booked Seats 7-10 but someone was sitting on 10. So I told the lady politely...

Me: Hi, excuse me, I think you're sitting on my seat.

Her: WHAT! No! I booked 11 and 12! 11 and 12!!!

She raised her voice so much that the people in the row in front turned around -__-"'

Me: Erm, but this seat (I pointed to the seat next to her) is 9..

Her: But I booked 11 and 12! (rummages through her handbag looking for her ticket)

Me: Yea, you booked 11 and 12 but you're sitting on 10..

Her: Nono! I booked 11 and 12!

Me: (exasperated, took my handphone to use the light and show her that the seat next to her is 9) There, you see, it's 9. You're sitting on 10.

And then she grudgingly moved to the next seat and complained to her boyfriend in accented and crisp Mandarin that she booked 11 and 12. I totally didn't get what she didn't understand. Seriously. I mean, can't you read the numbers?? Yes, she booked 11 and 12 but she was sitting on 10 and 11!

But she moved, and that was the important thing. So I thanked her and got a snort from her in return -_-"' How polite these immigrants are.

To make matters worse, she didn't quite understand the movie and was asking for a translation throughout the movie, which is something that i absolutely CANNOT tolerate. Thanks, but I don't need a running commentary -_-"' What annoyed me further was her non-stop crunching of the popcorn. I don't think I've heard anyone crunch as loud as that and throughout the whole movie. Sigh. But I managed to cancel that noise out after a while *-*

Anyway, on to the show..I think it's a pretty good show! I enjoyed the effects and plot. Sets me thinking between reality and dreams. A lot of underlying themes in the show worth pondering over. Hahaha watching these kind of movies make me feel more intellectual! BUT I'm still going to catch Despicable Me! Teehee ^^;;

Finally, a day (evening..night??) that I call my own. Cosy and happy at home with a good read and favourite songs. Well, other than my mum's incessant chatter, that is. Hahaha. She misses me too much.

This week has been...mmm..well, let's just say it could have been wayy better haha. This week felt like it was never going to end -__-"' Because I had to work last weekend, it felt like there was no weekend and the week just wore on and on and on and on and on and on. Yup, you get my drift. And OT-ing was sad. Just sad. So...TGIF!!!!!!

But I shall not start my emo-ing and grumbling in depth and look at the bright side :) Amidst all my grumblings, OF COURSE things weren't all THAT bad. I'm just being melodramatic. ROFL. As usual la huh. So..I got a surprise phonecall and got a surprise lift back home from work! TWICE this week. From 2 different people. *beams* and another darlingg who waited over an hour for me for dinner because I couldn't get off work as I had a paper to rush at the very last minute and had to go home after dinner to work on yet another paper. Give me a pat on my back. Well done, Grace!! お疲れ～！！！^^;;

HAHAHAHAHA.

OH. And i actually managed to find time to go for a run! Yes. I finally ran again! Felt really good, albeit the after-effects of aching muscles *-* Hahaha, but さようなら to my stamina. I took so long to run such a short distance that I'm too embarrassed to put it into numbers here. Haha.

That being said, if I could give myself a very tight hug, I would. ROFL. Because I was contemplating whether to go for the run and was voicing my thoughts out loud and my mum was saying that i should use the time to sleep rather than run since i was so tired. I ALMOST succumbed to the temptation. Thank God for the discipline and determination. HAHAHA.

Another jewel in the mud (I don't know how I came up with such an awful analogy but..oh wells...hahaha I think i'm going crazy from the knowledge that it's the weekends! WHEE!!! ) was an invitation from Boonx to JapFilmFest at NM!!! I might be going if Nette and Poof are going! Shall ask Boonie too!! I just realized Boonx and Boonie have "boon" in their names. ROFL.

Today's Melvin's last day. Had farewell lunch. Yet another one leaving us. Hmmm.

Lalalala~ It's time to spend time with my bed. Have not been spending enough time in it. HAHAHA.

It's one of those days when you're feeling really under the weather and a lot of things start you thinking. ARGH. Yes, I'm ill again -__-"' Really very unhealthy these days. I always say I need to start running again but the only running I'm doing these days is merely running for buses.

Really thankful for a particular friend who showered such care and concern these weeks. Sometimes I can't believe how blessed I am haha.

Seeing this kind of friend make me reflect on how horrid a friend I am.

A friend who really bothers remembering everything thing you said.
A friend who sends timely messages reminding you to eat lunch, knock off, and go to bed.
A friend who sends random messages encouraging you, cheering you on when you weren't even complaining about anything in the day but seeing those messages, inevitably bring a smile to your face.
A friend who asks you to take care and really mean it.
A friend who asks you out a million times even after you have not turned up for the past million times.
A friend who is willing to take time off work to accompany you to some place that you mentioned offhand you wanted to visit.
A friend who offers to listen to you rehearse when you have a presentation the next day.

The list goes on.

Thank you God, for such a wonderful friend. I'll strive to be a better friend to all my friends! Wheee~! Life isn't all about work only, though recently the scales of my work-life balance seemed to be tipping towards more to work -_-"' I am so tired lately that I am too tired to even open my mouth to talk. Yes. That's how tired I am. I need to spend more time with my friends and family before it's too late to regret.

But for now, I need to spend more time with my beloved bed ^-^
